Linda Street-Ely cherishes her Scottish and Irish Logan ancestry and is honored to have been given the name Logan as her middle name. She serves as Editor in Chief for Clan Logan Society International and served as the organization’s Vice President from 2023 to 2026. During that time, the global family of Logan held a family convention, an historic gathering in Edinburgh, Scotland, under the auspices of the Court of the Lord Lyon the King of Arms. Linda joined Kevin Logan and Tricia Logan-Locke in dedicating a substantial amount of time and resources for the convention. As a result, Logans worldwide gave a vote of acclamation for J. Kevin Logan to be recognized officially as Commander of the Name Logan. She appreciates the momentum this has brought, including the creation and support of the Logan Charitable Trust and looks forward to the exciting future of the family of Logan.
Her daily life is filled with family, dogs, aviation, and books. She is an airline transport rated pilot with commercial seaplane and tailwheel endorsement, an award-winning aerobatic competitor, five-time national gold champion cross-country air racer, air racing record holder and aircraft co-owner. Her day job is in aviation software.
Linda is also a playwright, an award-winning author of short stories, and writes fiction, nonfiction, and, occasionally, poetry. She is the president of Paper Airplane Publishing which she co-founded with her husband, Mike Ely.
Linda had a previous career as a litigation paralegal and was a licensed private investigator. Among her many roles volunteering, she has served in child advocacy, helping children in the Child Protection System (CPS), and serving as guardian ad litem. Linda and Mike live in Texas and celebrate four children and eight grandchildren.
