The Restalrig Heritage Trail
Creating a self-guided heritage trail connecting the historic sites of the Logan of Restalrig line in and around Edinburgh.
Current Project Status: Active
The Logans of Restalrig were one of the most prominent Logan families in Scottish history, holding lands near Edinburgh for generations. Sir Robert Logan of Restalrig was a notable figure in late 16th-century Scottish political life, and the family’s connection to the area left a lasting mark on the landscape and historical record.
This project aims to develop a self-guided heritage trail connecting key sites associated with the Logan of Restalrig line — from Restalrig Village in Edinburgh to associated locations in the Lothians. The trail will include interpretive signage, a downloadable walking guide, and an accompanying digital map.
